Applied Relaxation Practice Tools

A brief record can help you notice patterns in your practice and support discussion. It is not a report card and does not need to demonstrate that the exercise worked.

Using the log

Record what you notice

Complete a line after practice when useful. Note the date, approximate time, minutes practised, tension before and after, and any brief observations.

Rate the change you noticed after practising: 0 = no noticeable change, 1 = a small change, 2 = a useful change, 3 = a substantial change.

A rating of 0 does not mean that the practice was a failure. You may have noticed tension more clearly or learned that another response was needed.
